Get into the „Moods”
Pragues metropolis was variegated with a brand new design boutique hotel called Moods this year. Nomen est Omen and hotel Moods accordingly has absolutely different atmosphere than most of the hotels of a kind. Main reason is the conception of hotel interiors, which is based on using an organical and natural matarials such as wood, bamboo, moss etc., in contrast with rough natural materials such as concrete, glass and new technologies.

Design of this hotel is the work of two prague based young talented designers Vladimir Zak and Roman Vrtiska. Within a frame of building renovation remarkable project was created, which comprehend design solution of an atypical pieces of furniture, lighting and design accesories like custom made bookmarks, etc. Overall concept was created with a great accent on details and permelation of graphical elements and interiors. Hotel Moods has arisen in block of flats in Klimentska street, in the heart of Prague, where the bank was originaly situated in early 90`s.
Hotel disposes of 52rooms with Hastens beds. You can find here two mezonet appartments, multifunctional conference room, massages and bar. Space in the reception area is variegated with a moss wall. Around a central chromed column is situated atypical custom made sofa. Domination of the reception desk is a wall created of cutted bamboo sticks, which is in underlighted version used as well behind a bar. The space in the front of the bar is decorated with sanded wallpaper pattern. Hotel Moods occure as an organic and at lenght thought unit, where several functional and aesthetical solutions which fade into each other. Designers team Zak / Vrtiska cooperate since the time of their collective studies at AAAD Prague and is a price winner of many awards, from which we should mention National Award For Student Design 2008 (Roman Vrtiska) or a Czech Grand Design Award in Discovery of the Year category (Vladimir Zak). Both authors have individually cooperated with renowned brands such as:
Belda Factory, Diesel, Teroforma, Interspar, Jitona, Mattoni, Ruukki, Verreum, Spokar, Prowork, Indeco, Egoe, Scandium, Inno, mmcite, Tereza Maxova Foundation, Kvetna Glassworks, Ronney and Bennet, Prima TV, etc...
